- Sci...learned about Density...it is the mass of a substance per 1mL (liquid) or per 1cm3 (solid). We took notes together in our INB. Review this in preparation for "The Practical" next class.
- "The Practical" will be a hands-on assessment where you will measure the mass, the volume and then calculate the density of a liquid, regular solid (box), and irregular solid. Review all of your notes in your INB, text p.100-109, and recall our class discussions, activities, and video clips around mass, volume, and density.

- Sci...4.3 Measuring Mass...brainstormed how to measuring the mass of soda pop, rock, and a cube. We recorded it in our INB. We also learned how to use the TBB Triple Balance Beam to measure the masses.
- Next day, how to measure Volume? What tools will we use?

- Math...3.4 B Multiplying Decimals. Finish GN for HW.
- TIPS: Remove Decimals from factors. Once you find the product, add in the decimal place in the first factor, then add in the decimal place in the second factor. Count up the total number of digits after the decimal. Move the decimal that many places.
- TIPS: Multiplying Decimals is the only operation of the four that you DO NOT line up decimals. Instead, start with the longest number (most digits) which is not necessarily the greatest value (largest number) on top.
- Sci: Continued working on Variables and Control. Finish Spongebob scenarios for homework.
- I will teach you average next day. If you want to try it on your own, add up all of the numbers and then divide by the number of numbers in the set (in this case, 10).

- TIPS: Remember your "Holding Zeroes"! Check work by estimating. Keep the rounding quick and simple by rounding to 100s for 3 digit numbers or 10s for 2 digit numbers.
